The Draw 3D Blender

In this video I teach how to draw a 3D image (without 3D modeling) with grease pencil. If you struggle to draw backgrounds and need something like this in order to improve, use it. I’m not joking.

In the 3D viewport, Step 1: Go to Add – Grease Pencil – Blank. You can also access the Add menu with Shift+A Step 2: Select the Grease pencil object Step 3: With the Grease Pencil Object go to Draw mode in the top left corner of the 3D viewport and now we can start drawing with grease pencil. Step 4: Start drawing using your mouse or tablet.

Change the location of the 3D Cursor. Draw Draw free-hand strokes. Fill Automatic fill closed strokes areas. Erase Erase strokes. Tint Colorize stroke points. Cutter Cut strokes in between others. You can also use your reference material within the 3D viewports. To add an image, press the Shift + A hotkey to open up the add menu. From this menu, go where it says image, and then you will have several options. You can choose to import an image as reference material, or you can choose to import it as a background image.

How to Draw in Blender With the Grease Pencil First, you’ll need to create a new Grease Pencil object in Object Mode. Use Shift + A or pull the option down from the toolbar above: Add Grease Pencil, where you’ll see a couple of different choices: Blank, which creates a null Grease Pencil object.

1 Solving this issue (not exactly an issue) in Blender 2.80 is actually very simple. Before opening the Sculpting tab, go to Layout tab and be sure that in the Outliner, the reverse triangle icon on the left side of your object name, is highlighted. It should be gray in dark theme. If not, simply click on it and select your object.
